There is just something about a truly seasoned musician that you can recognize anywhere. It’s not an arrogance, more of a “this is my comfort zone and where I love to be”. It doesn’t matter if it’s a huge festival with a big production, or the dive bar in the shadiest part of town, you just know they are the real deal. That’s the feeling that Tom Kiefer projects to his fans immediately. I’ve been able to catch Tom once before at Rocklahoma, but I knew this experience was going to be a little different when they announced Tom would be coming back to Oklahoma. The venue, well we had never heard of it, and come to find out it was actually going to be in a big tent on a plot of land next to a railroad. This could be interesting.
True to fashion as soon as Tom came on stage you realize what an awesome talent he is . Tom looked great and sounded even better! The blues just pours out of every part of him, not to mention all of the memories that came back as he tore into somebody save me.
Tom has lived a lot of life and his songs always tell the story. I Definitely enjoyed being able to see him in a more intimate setting, and was left saying yep he’s still got it.
C heck out the album “The Way Life Goes” and catch him on tour with Warrant and Firehouse.
