Pryti Interview

We were lucky enough to do a short interview with Pryti.  A special thanks to High Road Publicity for introducing us to her.  She has a deep, soulful sound with dark and meaningful lyrics.  Check out her music video below.  Here is our interview with Pryti:

1. You have such an awesome, dark and soulful sound both vocally and lyrically, where do you draw your inspiration from?

I listen to a wide variety of music and I watch a lot of TV. Some stories tend to stick with me and I write about them also I draw on personal experiences too.

2. I would imagine that being your own manager, label, and agent has its pros and cons.  What are some of the good things and bad things associated with doing it all yourself?
The  good things are that your are in control of what your putting out there in terms of music and image. The bad things are that there is so much competition if you don t have an experienced label, manager and agent with all the contacts it s much more difficult. All the planets pretty much have to be lined up.
3. Since you are the guitar and bass player, when you play gigs, would you do something more acoustic? Or would you have other musicians playing with you?
I would have a band playing with me and do some acoustic gigs too.
4. Have you always known that music was the path you wanted to follow in life?
Yes Ive always wanted to do this since I was little .
5. If you weren’t a musician, what career would you have chosen?
I would probably be working as a music supervisor or working in the cosmetic industry I love make up too.
6. Do you have any “rituals” or “habits” that you go through before you play a gig or even record?
I don t know if I d call worry a ritual or habit but that s what I tend to do.
7. What are your plans for the rest of 2016?  Any plans to play any shows in the US?
I m trying to get live stuff underway. No plans at the moment to play the US one day it will happen.

We want to thank Pryti for taking the time to answer a few questions for us.  Please check out the links below for music, social media, and the music video.
