Paul Johnson and the About Last Nights EP “Give Up The Ghost” Released May 1st

After interviewing Paul Johnson of “Paul Johnson and The About Last Nights” in April we couldn’t wait to listen to the EP “Give Up The Ghosts”.  The EP was released on May 1st.  This EP is a must have!  Everything about the music is just fun.  The EP consists of 4 original songs and the bonus track cover of John Waite’s “Missing You”.

Paul is a southern boy, from Hattiesburg Mississippi.  In the song “Hollywood” he says “don’t take me to Hollywood, keep me in the south where the women are good”.  The song “Burn It Down” is an upbeat, fun, and catchy song.  It is one of those songs that as soon as you listen to it, you will be singing it in your head all day.  Paul’s vocals are great, and their remake of “Missing You” is phenomenal.  This is a band I definitely want to see live.  I bet they put on a fun show.   In our interview, Paul describes their music as “Rock N Roll…Power Pop, with an emphasis on the Power.  High energy power pop with an emotive attitude.”  I can’t get enough of this EP.  Check out the website to see where to get the EP.
