Celebrating 30 Years – BONFIRE to Release New Double Album “Pearls” via UDR Music
Out March 25, 2016 | Pre-Order via iTunes and Amazon

After the successful release of 2015’s Glörious, Bavarian hard rock legends BONFIRE are proving they still have a great future to come – this year, the band celebrates 30 years on stage! Throughout their career, BONFIRE have performed over 1,500 concerts worldwide with artists such as Whitesnake, Judas Priest and ZZ Top. The eternal burning flame – BONFIRE founder, composer, guitarist and mastermind Hans Ziller – now brings his bandmates David Reece (vocals, ex- Accept), Frank Pané (lead guitar), Ronnie Parkes (bass and vocals) and Tim Breideband (drums) into the next phase.
To celebrate 30 years of rock and metal, BONFIRE is pleased to present a new “best of” double album, Pearls, out March 25, 2016 via UDR Music. This marks the band’s very first double album since their formation in 1986. Pre-orders are available via iTunes and Amazon.
Pearls features two discs of selections spanning BONFIRE‘s 14 studio and 6 live releases – one set of newly-recorded crunching classics and one set of favorites performed with an orchestra – resoundingly reintroducing the rock world to a band who have always delivered the perfect mixture of hard, heavy and melodic rock (think of a heady rock-tail featuring elements of the LA metal scene but firmly forged in the classic iron-clad elements of German giants such as Scorpions, Uli Jon Roth and Accept). The time is absolutely right for BONFIRE to re-ignite worldwide with this platinum-plated classic collection.

Texas Hippie Coalition to release “Dark Side of Black” on April 22nd + Tour Dates

TEXAS HIPPIE COALITION to Release ‘Dark Side of Black’ on April 22nd via Carved Records + New U.S. Tour Dates Announced
Pre-Order ‘Dark Side of Black’ Here
Upcoming Headline Tour with SONS OF TEXAS Begins April 29th
Tickets On-Sale this Friday, February 26th at 12pm ET via
After reaching a new level of recognition with their last album Ride On and a position on the 2014 Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, gritty southern metal four-piece TEXAS HIPPIE COALITION are back with their fourth full-length Carved Records album, Dark Side of Black, to be released on April 22, 2016. Embracing southern roots while exploring a heavier sound than ever before, Dark Side of Black achieves a murky, groovier feel while not straying too far from THC‘s tried and true brand of rugged outlaw rock.
Pre-orders for Dark Side of Black begin today and are available here.
Dark Side of Black was recorded at Boot Hill Studio in Corinth, TX and Valve Studios in Dallas, TX with producer Sterling Winfield (Pantera, Hellyeah, Damageplan).
Dark Side of Black is our heaviest album to date for sure,” states THC vocalist Big Dad Ritch. “We’ve learned a lot having made four full-length albums prior. We’re trying to use that knowledge we learned to make an album that can maintain what Ride On and Peacemaker bring to the table, yet we wanted it to lend itself more to the power that is the RED DIRT METAL of Rollin and Pride of Texas. So it feels like Pride meets Peacemaker. Top shelf THC meets bottom shelf liquor…”
Although TEXAS HIPPIE COALITION are experts at their trade, recording Dark Side of Black wasn’t easy at times. THC drummer Timmy Braun comments on his physical struggle while recording the album, having just recovered from a serious infection shortly beforehand. He feels, perhaps, that this struggle influenced his recording style overall.
“About Dark Side of Black, I have never had such a difficult time completing an album in my life,” begins Braun. “I say that because my first session I had just got out of the hospital. It was difficult for me to walk let alone play a drum kit. After being in bed for literally two weeks I felt a bit out of shape. Then for the second session my hand was swollen to almost twice its size because of an injury! I couldn’t make a fist let alone play a drum kit. However, I’m hoping the vibe I was able to create will have a special flavor that I wouldn’t have been able to offer had my life been in order, per say. In other words, tough times make for better art!”
Guitarist Cord Pool adds, “Between tweaking our writing style and being influenced by personal things, Dark Side of Black leads the listener a step closer to the darker and heavier side of what we have to offer.”
Dark Side of BlackTracklisting:
1. Angel Fall
2. Come Get It
3. Dark Side
4. Gods Are Angry
5. Hit It
6. Into The Wall
7. Knee Deep
8. Rise
9. Shakin’
10. Villain
Stay tuned for more Dark Side of Black information, tracks and videos coming soon from TEXAS HIPPIE COALITION.

TEXAS HIPPIE COALITION are committed to crafting a unique, original and thoroughly raucous brand of music that’s born of both life experience and a respect for rock ‘n’ roll’s forefathers. What exactly is Red Dirt Metal? Take outlaw country, toss in a dash of Southern-fried classic rock and mix it with some potent Texas power grooves and you’ve got a combustible sonic cocktail on your hands.
TEXAS HIPPIE COALITION‘s 2014 release Ride Onhit #8 on the iTunes Rock Album chart, #5 on the Billboard Hard Music Chart, and #4 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. 2012’s Peacemaker spent 30+ weeks on the Billboard Heatseekers chart and 17+ weeks on the Hard Music Chart. Dark Side of Black aims to smash those records and bring on a whole new chapter of THC.

Here Come The Mummies

Here Come The Mummies

We were lucky enough to be able to conduct an e-mail interview with Here Come The Mummies a few days prior to their show in Oklahoma City on February 20th.  The interview will be posted below.  But first, how do I even begin to describe the experience of seeing this band live??  It is definitely unlike anything I have ever seen…in a good way.  I have been trying to figure out how to describe their music and all I can think of is funky, groovy, sexy, and fun.  Their live show is awesome and fun.  They are playful, choreographed and sexy on that stage.  This is a band I highly recommend catching.  No matter what kind of music you are into, these guys will have you smiling and enjoying every second of their show.

Check out their website at and check out their tour schedule or even some free downloads.

Our interview Questions were answered by Eddie Mummy (Drums), and unreliably translated and typed up glacially by Spaz (Keys).  We want to thank them for taking time to answer our questions.

1. After thousands of years where do you draw your inspiration from?

All around us… the weather, people (but not weather-people), rain, wind, sand, clouds, good eats, chicks, nature, a vigorous aerobic exercise regimen, math, coffee and pie, travel, cheese, rock formations, forestry, astronomy, plant-life, flowers, fishnets, fine musical instruments, crappy musical instruments, Swordfish Trombones, animals, pie… we like pie.

2. How would you describe your show to someone who hasn’t seen it?

A high energy, supremely entertaining, frontal-assault on your inhibitions, featuring cunning songcraft, insane musicianship, and soaring vocals.

3. Have you ever had an incident with getting your wrap tangled up in something while on stage?

This is the norm. Also we sometimes accidentally get some of the green room snacks into our mouths instead of on the floor where they belong.

4. What is your favorite song to play live?

At the moment, “My Party” and “Hard at Work” are feeling pretty great.

5. How do you guys keep your energy at such a high level after thousands of years?

When you are true adorers of life, you naturally have high energy levels. Plus, we have a French press mated to a cardiac needle and brew Indonesian coffee strong enough to paralyze a zebra.

6. Have any of you ever met Iron Maiden’s Eddie? If so, was he a nice guy?

We have not as yet, but it’s a small world. Let us know if you want us to tell him anything for you.

7. Are you guys hiding Michael Jackson under any of those wraps? But seriously, if you could mummify any deceased musician to join your band, who would it be?

So many, too many! Maurice White, David Bowie, Otis Redding, Oscar Peterson, MJ, Curtis Mayfield… Franz Schubert… As to the living, we’d recruit Stevie Wonder, Bernie Worrell, Bootsy Collins, Donald Fagen, Al Green, Bruno Mars, Prince, is that too much to ask for? We think not.

Asking Alexandria British Invasion Tour

I recently had the chance to attend and photograph the British Invasion Tour with Bullet For My Valentine and Asking Alexandria when the tour came through Oklahoma City on February 13th.  This was a SOLD OUT show, which appears to be something this band does quite frequently.  This place was packed!!

Prior to Asking Alexandria taking the stage the crowd was chanting in anticipation.  As soon as the band took the stage the building erupted, and the girls were screaming and throwing bras with phone numbers on them.  While I have listened to their music, I have never caught an Asking Alexandria show, and I am kicking myself for that now.  They produce such a high energy atmosphere.  It was awesome!!  I will not miss them again that’s for sure.  Make sure you keep an eye out for them to come through your area.

Please check out their website  There you can watch their new video for “The Black”, check out tour dates, order merch, or check their social media sites.

Europe at The Grand Casino

Europe is one of those bands I never thought I would be able to see.  When I found out they were going to be playing 45 minutes from my house it was a no-brainer that I was going to be there.  Then I was given the opportunity to photograph the show and I thought I was gonna pass out.  I felt like I was a giddy 16 year old girl all over again.  Knowing I was going to be able to see them live brought back so many memories of driving to high school with their cassette tape playing in my car and singing their songs at the top of my lungs.

Fast forward to the night of the show.  I arrived at the venue and ran into several friends who said they had been invited to a meet and greet with the band prior to the show.  They told me the guys in the band were so nice and personable.  I was anxious for the concert to start.  The house lights went down and the concert started.  From the first note out of Joey’s mouth, everything was amazing.  Joey sounded amazing.  He has definitely still got it.  The bands energy was awesome. This show was everything I expected it to be and more.  I hope they keep doing shows in the U.S. so I can attend again.  I would highly recommend attending a Europe show. Sons of Texas

We had the opportunity to meet and chat with Mark and Jes from Sons of Texas.  Only recently being introduced to this band, we had no idea what to expect.  Mark and Jes were awesome guys and gave us a lot of great information about the band.  They promised an amazing, high energy show, and boy did they deliver.  They say “There is nothing subtle about Texas”…I say there is nothing subtle about this band.  Words alone cannot express how absolutely mind blowing they were on stage.  High energy, crowd responsive, high octane, face melting rock and roll is what they delivered.  If these guys pull off this kind of show every night they perform, they must sleep for days once they are off tour.  With their music and the kind of show these guys perform, they will be headlining huge shows very soon.  From the amazing guitar riffs and solos, to the chest pounding bass lines and drums, all the way to Mark’s raw, gritty, kick ass vocals, this band has got exactly what it takes to keep rock and roll alive.  Keep your eyes and ears open for this band.  If they are playing near you, buy a ticket and get to that show.  You will not be disappointed, and you will recommend them to all your friends.

Check out their website at  On there you will find links to their social media pages as well as tour dates.  Show these guys some love!!

Our hometown boys of Hinder were in town for their show on February 6th and the Diamond Ballroom was packed.  It was great being able to catch up with them in a short interview prior to the show.  We were very excited to see Marshall Dutton  as the official lead singer, and he was amazing.  It is really great for us to see local OKC guys doing such an awesome job and rocking out all over the world.  We can’t wait until the next time they are home.
